Welcome back from the Parent Association

Welcome Back!

I am honored to be leading the Parent Association this year and wanted to welcome you back to a new school year.

Colorado Academy is a special place, and, as parents, we have multiple opportunities each year to support and appreciate the people and mission of this wonderful school.

We are just a few days into the new school year, and we are well underway on our planning for the year ahead. We are pleased to have been able to welcome 151 new students. Under the leadership of Candice Gottlieb and Elisabeth Noyes, 11 parent volunteers delivered welcome bags across the metro Denver area to the doorsteps of our new students.

August was also busy as we planned for our Parent Volunteer Fair, “Get INvolved,” chaired by Meaghan Rubey. On the first day of school, this event allowed a time for parents to gather again and plan ways to build a stronger community in the coming year.

I challenge you to find a way to connect to the school in a new way this year: join the hiking club, provide an extra hand in planning the “Taste of CA,” help in the classroom, or show your gratitude for our faculty and staff as part of our Faculty Appreciation Committee. My hope is that you’ll notice the depth of involvement across our parent community.

Looking forward to a great year—see you on campus!
