We are so grateful for the leadership and guidance from Colorado Academy’s Dr. Mike Davis and his team during these unprecedented times. Parents often ask, “How we can help and give back during times like these?” There are numerous resources floating around the community, and we hope, as we are able, to get back to showing our support for one another in person!
While we are seeing many of our normal parent activities postponed or evolve, one aspect of the normal calendar for the Parent Association continues—the Gifting vote!
Through our community appreciation efforts to faculty and staff—providing coffee carts on faculty work days, gift cards during the holiday cookie fest, as well as small contributions to Arts Around and SPEAK lecture programs—we are pleased to be able to give back to the CA community. As you know, the fundraising effort that you help with all year long culminates in a gift back to the school.
To compile a list of wish items, we consulted with each department head. Lil McKean, Parent Association Gifting Chair, presented these items during the State of the School event on March 12. They are listed here. While we are home, staying healthy, and keeping our distance, you can still give back to CA by making your voice heard and voting for the items you’d like to see given back to the school from the Parent Association.
