As we head into our Thanksgiving holiday, I want to express my gratitude to the entire Colorado Academy community. It’s important we recognize our faculty and staff, who are so committed to the mission of our school. They work incredibly hard to serve our students. It’s been a hectic and busy fall, and our teachers never stop meeting the needs of those they teach in the classroom as well as celebrating students at arts performances and athletic competitions.
I am incredibly thankful to our families and alumni and their generosity toward CA. We had an amazing CA Gives Day that provided vital funding for operations and programs that enrich the CA experience. This support came from current parents and grandparents, alumni and parents of alumni, faculty and staff, as well as friends of the school. Our parents and alumni also actively volunteer on boards and in the classroom. Some are involved in the day-to-day activities of the school while others focus on the future. The roles are different, but each is vitally important to the overall health of our school.
Finally, I want to thank our students, who inspire all of us on a daily basis. From our four-year-olds in Pre-K to our 18-year-old Seniors, our students strive to be curious, kind, courageous, and adventurous learners and leaders. This fall, we have seen high-level achievement in academics, the arts, and athletics. In every grade, we see students look out for one another and offer support in impactful ways.
I hope everyone can have a relaxing week and spend some time connecting with family and friends.
Happy Thanksgiving!
