On Saturday, May 6, 2023, the beloved biennial CA Auction returns—saddle up to celebrate the CA community, as we raise essential funds for financial aid. Individual tickets are now on sale (be sure to take advantage of early-bird pricing), and Patron packages are available for those who want additional benefits. Special thanks to Aurum Home Technology for sponsoring the 2023 Auction.
All net proceeds from the Auction go to support Colorado Academy’s endowment for financial aid. CA is slated to provide $5.1 million in financial aid for the 2023-2024 school year. The school’s financial aid budget also benefits from The CA Fund, endowment returns, and a percentage of tuition.
“I am excited for the return of the CA Auction! The event has always been a great evening to bring together the amazing CA community, and the funds raised through the Auction are essential for our financial aid program. Supporting families and helping the school to maintain and increase socioeconomic diversity is a vital piece of our mission and is critical to the kind of community we endeavor to build at CA. With so many different ways to support the Auction, I hope you will consider how you can take part,” says Head of School Dr. Mike Davis.
A REAL SHINDIG
The theme for this year’s Auction befits Colorado’s historic ranching heritage, so put on your Western duds, dust off your boots, and make plans now to attend the May 6 event at the Mustang Corral (aka the CA Athletic Center). The evening will begin with a chance to wet your whistle with fancy beverages and cozy up to the chuck wagon for some mouth-waterin’ grub. (In other words, there will be plenty of food and drink!) The main shindig will feature remarks, the Live Auction, a paddle-raise, and the opportunity to satisfy your sweet tooth with tasty desserts. After the program, you can kick up your heels ‘til the cows come home.
HOW TO SUPPORT THE CA AUCTION
There are a variety of ways to support the CA Auction—by attending the May 6 event, by bidding in the online-only Silent Auction or the Live Auction, or by making a donation to the event.
Auction Patron packages offer a variety of benefits, including access to the Patron Party on April 20 at The Grizzly Rose, reserved seating for the Auction, and fantastic Patron swag bags. Individual Auction tickets (which include all food and beverages) are priced at $150. (Individual ticket prices increase to $200 on April 3, so purchase your tickets now.) Upper-level event sponsorships are a great way to provide exposure for your company or to support the event at a higher level.
At the May 6 event, Auction attendees will have the chance to bid on an array of amazing, unique packages in the Live Auction. Details on Live Auction packages will be shared closer to the event.
An online-only Silent Auction, held during the week prior to the May 6 CA Auction event, will be open to everyone (not just those attending the Auction). It will feature items at a variety of price points, including teacher experiences, sports and outdoor packages, cuisine and wine, and unique opportunities for groups. Registering for the Silent Auction will also enter you in the CA Auction drawing, giving you a no-purchase-necessary chance to win great prizes, like early conference sign-up, a DAE GEE Korean BBQ basket, and more.
Additionally, you can support the CA Auction with a cash donation. Your gift of any size supports financial aid for CA students, ensuring that a CA education remains accessible.
