Seven members of the Colorado Academy Class of 2022 will play post-graduate sports at schools around the country. On May 4, family, friends, counselors, and coaches gathered in the CA Main Gym to celebrate their achievement.

Athletic Director Bill Hall greeted the guests and honored the student-athletes. “I am confident that you will represent your chosen school as proudly as you have CA,” Hall said. “Whether you are breaking records, scoring goals, or being a great teammate, your time as a CA Mustang has paved the way for a collegiate athletic experience—something very few achieve.”

Hall also thanked all the coaches who had challenged and championed the CA athletes during their career at CA. And he led a round of applause for dedicated parents who had made sacrifices to encourage their child’s athletic career.

Hall recognized each athlete who will go on to play a Division III collegiate sport or a post-graduate year:

  • Elliott Cravitz will play basketball at Bates College.
  • Grant Nelligan will play lacrosse at Bryant University.
  • Brooks Rhine will play lacrosse at Salisbury School.
  • Barrett Trigg will play field hockey at Villanova University.

Hall also acknowledged students who signed letters earlier in the school year to compete at the Division I or II level:

  • Jack Gerber will play lacrosse at Colgate University.
  • Maya Kendall will play lacrosse at Dartmouth College.
  • Emily Silliman will play lacrosse at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Congratulations to all these outstanding young scholars and athletes!
