In the 61st running of the Giant Relay Race, Colorado Academy’s Class of 2018 held on to the trophy which they had captured in 2016. In contrast to the 2017 race which had to be canceled because of snow, this year’s competitors ran, swam, cycled, hopped, and kayaked on a brutally hot day, with temperatures reaching the mid-nineties. In a close race, CA seniors crossed the finish line with a time of 7:28, with parents coming in second at 7:33, alumni at third with a time of 8:41, and faculty rounding out the field at 9:06.
In the mini-relay, CA Eighth Graders took first place in the Middle School and CA Juniors took first place in the Upper School.
