Talk of Glasgow as gritty or hard-edged seems exaggerated and probably a holdover from an earlier era. Feels more diverse, more cosmopolitan than Edinburgh, which can feel so quaint to the brink of artificial. The University of Glasgow is truly spectacular visually and is a stone’s throw from the Kelvingrove Museum, which you simply have to see lit up at night.
Hard not to be impressed by the vigor of the Scots. Last night I watched a tennis lesson in a driving rain with wind gusts upwards of 50mph! And we complain about packed powder days!
As senior year looms, I love knowing Jack and John are going to come back hardier than ever.
