Colorado Academy alumnus Eric Hopfenbeck ’10 recently spoke to CA Upper School students at a 5UP talk. His speech was titled “The Hype” and in it, he emphasized to students why, in a time of “meh” and apathy, the world needs enthusiasm and excitement to make a difference.
Eric is the Executive Director of Quarterly Forum, a Colorado-based leadership organization that connects, educates, and inspires the state’s best emerging community leaders. He was the Deputy Executive Director/Chief of Staff of the National Cybersecurity Center in Colorado, an El Pomar Fellow, President of the Student Body at the University of Puget Sound, and is currently a CA Alumni Board Member.
The 5UP (Five Minutes Up) program at Colorado Academy is a series of talks with the goal of featuring voices of our community in a shortened TED talk set-up.
