The Class of 2022 celebrated continuation from Grade 8 in a ceremony made meaningful by the many Middle School teachers who paid tribute to every single one of the 74 students.
Head of School Dr. Mike Davis pointed out to the students that when he started at CA 10 years ago, the eighth grade students were in Pre-Kindergarten. “You have all grown up so much!” he said. Dr. Davis told the students that their next years in the Upper School will afford them the opportunity to try all kinds of experiences. “Schools are unique communities,” he said. “They have intentional, deliberate cultures and environments where you can experience real world issues.”
Middle School Principal Bill Wolf-Tinsman thanked the “terrific” Middle School teachers. He reminded the eighth graders that they had succeeded in a rigorous academic climate to achieve this milestone. “This is your time,” he said. “You get one life. Make the most of it.”
