Colorado Academy Head of School Dr. Mike Davis gave the presentation below to the CA Upper School, reflecting on the 22nd anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. At the Upper School Town Hall, Dr. Davis shared his expertise as a historian of American foreign policy when he recounted the story of the events of that day for CA Ninth through Twelfth Graders who weren’t yet born when the attacks took place. The most important lessons to take away from the tragedy and heroism the world witnessed on that day, he said, are the resilience of the human spirit and the importance of taking care of each other.
