Happy 2019!
New year, but same gratitude for our Colorado Academy community! We ended our year strongly with three big events: the All-School Book Fair, creatively executed and chaired by Averee Heidenreich, Dusty Fitzgerald, and Wally Heidenreich; the Wreath & Garland Sale chaired by Lyndsey Farncombe and Kristin Matijevich, combined with our Holiday Mart, proficiently organized by Mia Sorenson; and our community appreciation Cookie Fest event expertly led by Brooke Beasley and Robin Cook!
A quick story about how the Parent Association affects our community….Following the Cookie Fest, where all faculty and staff were invited to come fill a box with cookies and treats and receive a small gift, we received the nicest thank-you note from one of our dedicated bus drivers. It made me appreciate how special this community is and recognize how every teacher, administrator, student, parent, maintenance worker, custodian, bus driver, et al. contributes to make this campus so unique!
We now turn our attention to 2019 and our upcoming community events! January featured three exciting events: The Lower School STEAM Night, Used Book Sale, and Taste of CA: A Celebration of Cultures. Our Parent Association is already looking to next school year and working on nominations for the next Executive Committee, class leads, and event chairs. We want to encourage everyone to get involved, and please feel free to speak up if you are interested in any roles and/or events!
We thank ALL the families who contributed delicious and beautiful cookies and treats to the Cookie Fest and want to recognize the following contributors who made Cookie Fest day a success.
