We had another great day here in Quebec! We began much like yesterday: having breakfast at our hotel and taking a public bus to our language school. Again, we divided into smaller groups for more focused French instruction. Our students are practicing a ton of French and having fun learning Quebecois.
We had lunch at the school cafeteria where we ate alongside the high school students and even convinced a few to serenade Margartia, our birthday girl, bonne fête! After lunch, we traveled to the Civilization Museum. This gem has a great exhibit about the history of Quebec and really helped us understand who lived in this area before the French came and what happened afterwards. It also enlightens the modern traits that make Quebec such an interesting and enriching place to be. In addition to Quebec history, we took in an exhibit about modern dance, a sculpture exhibit about the wealth disparity in Haiti and a section about earthquakes.
