Alumni will recognize Raether’s name as the one that graces Raether Library on CA’s campus. After CA, he obtained his BA from Trinity College and received his MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business. True to CA’s military roots, he also served as an officer in the United States Navy.
He has been with KKR since 1980, a leading global investment firm that manages multiple alternative asset classes, including private equity, energy, infrastructure, real estate, and credit, with strategic partners that manage hedge funds. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Blyth Eastman Dillon & Company’s Corporate Finance Department, Director of Financial Analysis for Texasgulf Corporation, and a member of the corporate finance department of Reynolds Securities.
Raether has been active on a number of boards, including serving as Chairman of the Board at Trinity College in Hartford, Conn. He also serves as a Trustee of the Board of Overseers for the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and as a Trustee of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Foundation. We are grateful for his hospitality.
