Colorado Academy’s Fifth Grade class celebrated its official continuation to Middle School on June 4, 2018, with bow ties, best dresses, and big smiles. Fifth Grade teachers Buck McKenna, Jessica Ohly, and Sara Wachtel spoke about each individual student, recognizing the special gifts and talents all students contributed to the class during the past year.
In her speech, Dr. Lisa Ulsh, Lower School Principal, looked ahead to Middle School. “In Lower School, each of you has glimpsed your potential as a person, a student, an artist, an athlete, a musician and a friend,” she told students. “My wish for you, as you forge your path in Middle School, is that you continue to develop that potential and grow into even more courageous learners and young people who will take on challenging issues and change the world.”
