A decades-long tradition brought cheer to CA alumni in the Class of 2022 when care packages arrived in their college mailboxes just prior to their first final exams. In addition to snacks and candy, including Jolly Ranchers, alumni received cookies made in CA’s kitchen by the food service staff and a CA alumni luggage tag.
In most cases, the package contained a really special treat: a personal greeting card from their Kindergarten Buddy.
For the past 20 years, parent volunteers have helped the Alumni Association box up the goodies and treats into CA care packages. It is a double win when parents are able to assist with the packing while also catching up with fellow parents, many of whom they haven’t seen since graduation in June. This year’s volunteers just might have broken the previous speed-packing record, finishing the job in 40 minutes!
