Colorado Academy welcomed four exchange students in October from Hutchesons’ Grammar School in Glasgow, Scotland. The students attended classes in the Upper School, visited the children in the Lower School, engaged with host students and their families, and even visited the University of Colorado at Boulder. The Scottish students’ visit is part of CA’s ongoing exchange program with Hutchesons’, founded in 1641 by brothers George and Thomas Hutchesons. CA students will travel to Glasgow in February 2017. CA has Upper School exchange programs with schools in Turkey and Argentina; a new Middle School exchange with a school in the Dominican Republic, and a more than 30-year exchange program for fifth grade students at Erskine Stewart’s Melville Junior School in Edinburgh, Scotland.
