Nolen Steps up to Head Boys Basketball

Colorado Academy Director of Athletics Bill Hall has announced that Sean Nolen will be the new Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at CA next year, stepping in for Steve Hyatt. Hyatt will continue coaching at CA, but will step back from his primary duties after four amazing seasons at CA. Nolen has assisted Coach Hyatt for the past several years, so, says Hall, The transition will be seamless.”

Hall continues, “Nolen is one of the most sought-after young basketball coaches around.  CA is lucky to have his energy and his focus on the education of our students through basketball.”  Nolen tweeted a message to the basketball community that he was “blessed and honored to be named” to this role.

Hyatt has been the driving force behind the team’s success over the past four seasons. His combined record for the past four years is 73-32.  CA boys averaged more than 18 wins per year over the past four years. Says Hyatt, “I have been truly blessed to have coached such amazing young men at CA. I love everything about Colorado Academy: the students, parents, staff, and the community.”
