Awakening Muscles and Leaders in Mont Tremblant

Mont-Tremblant-ColoradoAcademy-Middle School InterimYesterday was an action-packed day for us in the mountain town of Mont Tremblant. We had a delicious breakfast in the morning, which was enhanced by the local homemade jam and departed for the ski village. We are staying in the old town, which is a series of cabins, restaurants, an ice rink and a few other building sandwiched between picturesque lakes and forest. The new village is about 10km away and is modeled after a French Alps mountain town. Cobblestone streets and walkways link tons of carefully modeled shops, cafes, restaurants and action sports companies that creep up the steep mountain.

First, we took a private outdoor yoga class. In the middle of a grassy park, we formed a half circle around our bilingual instructor who guided us through a wonderful class in the French and English. Everyone did a great job and it helped awaken our muscles and minds for what lay ahead: an aerial ropes course complete with 8 zip lines! Well, actually a meal of delicious crepes was right after yoga, but before we knew it we were following our local guide into the thick woods for the aerial challenge.
